CLARISSA BONET STYLE PHOTOSHOOT
I decided to take photos in a similar style to Bonet's images due to the contrast between light and shadow, as well as the inclusion of these disconnected looking people that you cannot see their faces or make out who they are. It was hard to recreate her images due to my photography skills not being as good as hers but i tried to use street lamps to get an eerie cold light that would reflect down onto the subject. There is a sense of a 'collage look' or 'feel' to these images as I could essentially cut out the areas that are lit and replace the dark areas with just a black blocked background on Photoshop to minimise the piece making it more simple. Its hard to explain physically how I view her work and my set of images as I can just see the collage potential but can't expand on it in words. I would like to use the idea of these disconnected people lurking in the shot, to convey a sense of people not interactivity with one another anymore as more and more people are using technology. This will go with well with the nature essentially taking over buildings which are man made - nature taking back it's land.
