INSPIRED

    IMAGERY

I HAVE TAKEN A RANGE OF IMAGES FROM MY EVERYDAY LIFE THAT HAVE INSPIRED ME AND WILL HELP WITH THE IDEAS/DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT. I WILL CONTINUE TO UPLOAD PLACES,LANDSCAPES,OBJECTS AND SO ON THAT SPARK A NEW THOUGHT INTO MY HEAD TO HELP REPRESENT THE THOUGHT PROCESS THAT WILL LEAD ME TO MY OUTCOME.

Woburn Woods + Woburn Trails - Monday 19th Feb, I went for a walk around my local woods back home and took a few source images for my work. In the top few images, the colours of the sky and the warmth of the sun reflecting on the trees is visually stunning. There's a sense of happiness in contrast to the images underneath which are more dull and mute. It almost looks like two seasons, the top section being summer, and the bottom being winter. I also found a few openings which reminded me of the digital edits that I have been working on in Photoshop recently. An open space or 'doorway' that you can walk towards. So far i've used man-made sculptures or buildings with landscapes inside, but it could be interesting the use these nature images, and putting architecture in the gaps behind.

The 2 images to the left show a path leading to an open space at the end which is quite intriguing as a viewer, making your eyes follow the strip down the centre of the photograph. This reminds me of the Woods wallpaper mural from the 'Wilderness Exhibition' in the Walsall gallery. This is due to her piece having a path which leads into the forest, making the spectators wonder what is beyond our vision. I love the idea of leaving the viewers guessing, and not having a true answer of the piece so everyone can interpret it in their own way. I could attempt to incorporate this factor within my edits.

This inspiration came from quite a random place. As I was doing my washing up i began to see layers within the water and cutlery in the sink. the small glass sits above the water, so is mostly empty creating an indent into the waters flat surface. As well as this, other cups are sticking up out of the water, also creating depth.

I have began to play around with layering and depth in my edits of the car park which has many window-like parts cut of of the side of the building, but have different depths to them.
