INSPIRATION FROM
FILM SCREENSHOTS
NOW I HAVE DECIDED TO EXPLORE FURTHER INTO THE ABSTRACT WALLPAPER PIECE BY .. WHICH WAS IN THE WALSALL GALLERY, 'WILDERNESS' EXHIBITION, AS WELL AS THE BCU CAR PARK ARCHITECTURE, I WANTED TO FIND MORE SOURCE IMAGES TO GAIN INSPIRATION FROM. IN ONE OF THE FIRST SCENES FROM THE FILM ' NERVE ', EMMA ROBERTS CHARACTER, 'VEE' WALKS INTO HER DECEASED BROTHERS BEDROOM WHO WAS INTO PHOTOGRAPHY + EDITING. A FEW SHOTS SHOW THIS MOSAIC/COLLAGE COMBINATION OF IMAGES PUT TOGETHER TO CREATE AN ABSTRACT PIECE. ITS ESSENTIALLY THE SAME PHOTO THAT'S BEEN CROPPED,CHANGED SIZE, ZOOMED IN, LAYERED TOGETHER TO CREATE THESE STUNNING DESIGNS THAT MAKE THE VIEWER FOLLOW THE IMAGE FROM BOTTOM TO TOP, WHICH IS HELPED BY THE WAY THE CAMERA PANS SLOWLY UP, REVEALING MORE OF THE IMAGES AS THE SHOT CONTINUES.

THE 3RD IMAGE BELOW SHOWS ANOTHER ONE OF HIS EDITS, THAT ALMOST LOOK LIKE A PINBOARD/ VISUAL BOARD FOR INSPIRATION. IT IS ANOTHER WAY OF SHOWING THIS TECHNIQUE. IT HAS GIVEN ME IDEAS FOR HOW I COULD PORTRAY THE BUILDINGS,NATURE AND CROWDS OF PEOPLE THAT I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING AS THE PROJECT HAS PROGRESSED.

I WILL ATTEMPT AT CREATING SMALLER SCALE PIECES LIKE THESE, USING MY OWN IMAGES AND PRINTS TO SEE HOW EFFECTIVE THIS OUTCOME COULD POTENTIALLY BE.
