'The artists voice' is a collaborative presentation to be presented in front of everyone on the course containing information, images, designs etc based on the chosen artist interview agreed upon in the group session. Group F have agreed to choose 'PETRA COLLINS: “I KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE THERE” interview as she deals with anxiety and body issues during preadolescence & teenage years. Her photographs are visually thrilling due to the vibrancy and tones used, making the most of artificial lighting and editing processes.
There are 2 quotes within the interview which the group have taken as inspiration to create an individual piece each. These will be influence by her art style and the quote itself, but everyone is going to put their own twist and take on it so everyone we get a varied of different responses to create a mini exhibition.
" I’m sort of creating this world that I wish was accepted in, or that I wish that I lived in. "
“Women learn to exhibit their bodies, not inhabit them."
